About the artist…

  • Read is a poet, musician and artist. The ways of cloud and water over ocean and lake are her subject matter in a mode of atmospheric abstraction. Her work references the legacy of abstract expressionism and current UK painters such as Sean Scully and Howard Hodgkin.
